Vanmorgen ging Christopher voor het eerst naar de 'grote school': Colony Meadows, Elementary School.

This Morning Christopher started Kindergarten.

Hij had zich vanmorgen meteen na het opstaan aangekleed, z'n haren mooi gekamd en was er helemaal klaar voor. Oscar, Max en ik brachten hem om half acht lopend weg (de school ligt even buiten onze wijk) en alhoewel hij nogal gespannen was, hield hij zich heel kranig.

He had dressed all by himself and combed his hair as soon as he had got up this morning. At seven thirty Oscar, Max and I walked him to Colony Meadows Elementary School which is at the end of our subdivision.

Eerst luisterden alle kindjes naar wat huishoudelijke mededelingen over de intercom van het hoofd van de school gevolgd door twee Pledges of Allegiance: een eerbetoon aan de Amerikaanse EN Texaanse vlag.

First the children listened to announcements made through the intercom by the principal after which they said two Pledges of Allegiance, both to the American and the Texas flag.

Daarna zijn wij stilletjes vertrokken terwijl Christopher nog wat praktische zaken over wc's etc uitgelegd kreeg. Vanmiddag om 3 uur is hij weer uit.

After that we crept away while Christopher got some more explanations on how to use the bathroom. At three we get to pick him up.
